Srinagar, Feb 26 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir Saturday reported 84 fresh cases pushing the number of active cases to 871 while as no death was reported in last 24 hours in the UT. With no more death, the death toll in J&K stands at 4,748 and 84 fresh positive cases reported on Saturday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 452,901. Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 84 new cases, 21 belong to Kashmir division while as 63 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 287,015 including 284,212 recoveries and 2,423 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 165,886 including 163,070 recoveries and 2,325 deaths. The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 871 including 380 from Kashmir division and 491 from Jammu division. With 208 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 447,282 which is 98.76 percent of the total cases. “Cases tested positive in J&K include 12 from Srinagar, 01 from Baramulla, 04 from Budgam, 00 from Pulwama, 03 from Kupwara, 00 from Anantnag, 01 from Bandipora, 00 from Ganderbal, 00 from Kulgam and 00 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 63 from Jammu division include 30 from Jammu district, 06 from Udhampur, 01 from Rajouri, 15 from Doda, 03 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 06 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 02 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi," officials disclosed. Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51. As per officials figures, 102,191 positive cases including 907 deaths and 101,046 recoveries are from Srinagar, 37,575 including 304 deaths and 37,212 recoveries are from Baramulla, 34,798 including 34,539 recoveries and 237 deaths are from Budgam, 18,416 including 18,212 recoveries and 201 deaths are from Pulwama, 21,707 including 174 deaths and 21,522 recoveries are from Kupwara, 22,419 including 22,190 recoveries and 219 deaths are from Anantnag, 13,668 cases including 13,541 and 118 deaths are from Bandipora, 13,626 including 13,538 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Ganderbal, 16,311 including 16,173 recoveries and 119 deaths are from Kulgam and 6,304 including 6,239 recoveries and 60 deaths are from Shopian. In Jammu division, 75,933 including 74,521 recoveries and 1,222 deaths are from Jammu district, 14,756 including 14,593 recoveries and 147 deaths are from Udhampur, 12,798 including 12,540 recoveries and 249 deaths are from Rajouri, 11,485 including 11,157 recoveries and 144 deaths are from Doda, 11,398 including 11,201 recoveries and 166 deaths are from Kathua, 9,082 including 8,944 recoveries and 125 deaths are from Samba, 5,877 including 5,826 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Kishtwar, 7,734 including 7,612 recoveries and 110 deaths are from Poonch, 8,124 including 8,028 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ramban and 8,699 including 8,648 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Reasi. As per the daily information bulletin 6,104,772 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 31,462 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 871 persons are in isolation. According to the bulletin, 5,615,131 persons have completed the surveillance period and 452,560 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 23,173,681 samples are available. Out of 23,173,681 the number of samples tested negative stands at 22,720,780 while as 452,901 have tested positive, among them 871 cases are active, 447,282 have recovered and 4,748 persons have died—(KNO)
